Biography
A Palestinian poet and writer who has lived in Sweden since 2018, when she was awarded a writer’s residency by the City of Stockholm through ICORN, the International Cities of Refuge Network’s programme for the protection of writers and artists. Her writing is concerned with the conditions of Palestinian life and moves between poetry, essays, diaries, and work shaped by the experiences of war and exile. She has contributed to several Palestinian magazines, cultural centres, and initiatives. Selections of her poetry have been translated into English and Swedish. She is currently working on her first poetry collection in Arabic, alongside a project to translate it into Swedish.
