Raed Shniowrah

a Palestinian writer from the Gaza Strip, born in 1987. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic language and media, and is considered one of the prominent cultural and creative voices in the Gazan scene. His work brings together journalism, literary and cinematic writing, alongside active community and media engagement. He began his professional career in journalism and fieldwork with local and Arab media institutions, writing for several newspapers and news platforms. He covered political, social, and humanitarian events in Gaza, focusing on people’s lives and the details of their everyday existence under siege and war. Alongside journalism, Raed writes poetry, short stories, and theatre, and works as a professional screenwriter. He has written several scripts for documentary and fiction films centred on the Palestinian experience, particularly daily life under occupation and siege. He also works in the production of cultural digital content that reflects Gaza’s heritage and its human voice. During the war on Gaza, he documented living testimonies and wrote texts that bear witness to moments of fear, survival, and resistance.
